Luke Seed is a Senior Lecturer in the Vision and Information Engineering group in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Sheffield from which department he graduated with a Bachelor degree (1983) and Ph.D (1989). His research activities began with image processing, arising from his doctoral work, and have passed through digital/VLSI design to his current research activities, which relate to packaging technologies and holographic lithography, in particular. He is a member of the EPSRC College, a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the IET and IEEE. In 2006 he was awarded an EPSRC follow-on grant, co-funded by ERAF. He has authored 62 papers in journals and conferences.
