Born to Engineer – New Careers Resources Launched

Alongside the ERAs film series we have now launched a new set of resources aimed specifically at helping the next generation of Engineers navigate the often confusing career pathways into Engineering.

Born to Engineer has grown since the ERA launched its first Born to Engineer film in 2016. The Born to Engineer campaign has grown to reach a broader audience and now forms a central part of the Foundations outreach strategy.

We have supported the growth of the Born to Engineer website alongside the development of our film series and have now launched a new set of resources aimed specifically at helping the next generation of Engineers navigate the often confusing career pathways into Engineering.

Our intention is that Born to Engineer becomes a resource for both students, parents and teachers when looking at careers in Engineering.

Alongside web resources, we have launched three new career ebooks aimed at GCSE aged students.

  • University, Vocational Or Apprenticeship There’s arguably never been a better time be an engineer but there’s no one route into engineering. The question you should ask yourself is which Engineering Path Is Right For Me?
  • The Different Types Of Engineering (And Their Career Paths) Explained Being an engineer doesn’t just encompass one job. In fact, engineering is a large family of careers
  • How To Find The Right Engineering Pathway For You The different pathways into engineering are various – and each pathway is a valuable learning experience in its own way.

Our belief is that by making this information available in one place students will be able to better understand the pathways they can take and plan for a future career in Engineering.
